Homemade: Healthy and Whole - Online Shop

Welcome! Come explore many creative accessories and apparel inspired by themes of 'healthy eating' and 'wholesome cooking', to everything Lebanese.

I have always seen myself as a mindful shopper, and this trait has just become stronger over the past few years, especially in light of the worsening climate change and improper waste management our planet is suffering from. I have, thus, become quite intolerant of fast fashion and more appreciative of sustainable products, especially if they help promote small and private businesses or show respect for the environment. With these motivations I decided to create simple accessories and apparel that are inspired by the themes of my book titled "Homemade: Made Healthy & Whole - A Flavor of Lebanese Cooking and Other Healthy Recipes". The designs of my products offer a sense of personal meaning for me, especially with me being half-Lebanese and having spent most of my life in the beautiful country of Lebanon.

Like many Lebanese people around the world, my heart was broken by the disastrous explosion that took place on August 4, 2020 at the port of the capitol city of Beirut, Lebanon. This massive explosion sadly changed the face of Lebanon as we knew it. Hundreds were killed and thousands were injured. The explosion destroyed the homes of many and devastated large sections of the city, including schools, hospitals, businesses, and infrastructure. All this happened at a time when the country was already drowning in a sea of devastation from political turmoil, economic collapse, demographic overcrowding from a continuing influx of refugees, and the Covid-19 pandemic. It is for this reason that I humbly plan to donate a portion of all proceeds from my apparel and accessories towards supporting needy families in Lebanon (whether Lebanese or refugees) and respected non-governmental organizations in Beirut and other parts of the country. Thank you for supporting my cause and happy shopping!

Regards, Sara
